Nang dahil sa isang school project naka hanap ako ng isang part time job na hindi lang basta makakatulong sakin para mag grow, but also a job that I will enjoy.

After having an interview with Mr. Dante S. Vinluan the proprietor of DSV Catering, I found my self answering his questions. Opo, doon nga nag-umpisa ang lahat. Nung una ako po ang nag-iinterview sa kaniya hanggang sa siya naman yung nag-interview sakin.

Pag-uwi ko binalita ko agad kay mommy at nag gm ako sa mga classmates ko na may bagong part-time-job ako. Siyempre dapat share your blessing kaya naman niyaya ko sila na mag food handlers din sa DSV Catering. Food handlers are those responsible in serving foods to an event, eto ang bago kong position sa bago kong part-time-job. Since im a second year HRM Student naman, may background na ako sa duties and responsibilities of a food handlers.  Our main goal is to satisfy our guests and reduce the stress of our client during the event. It sounds difficult but its not.

For almost one year na pagseserve namin sa DSV Catering mas lalong lumawak ang kaalaman namin at marami kaming bagong natutunan based on what we had experienced. Its true that experience is the best teacher.

For me, DSV Catering is not just a source of income but also a portal. It’s an open window when the doors are closed for me. Dinala ako dito ng tadhana nung mga oras na kailangan ko ng mapagkakakitaan. Halos 50% ng pang tuition ko ay kinuha ko sa DSV Catering. Hindi kasi ako mahilig umasa sa parents ko because I want to be independent. Since high school I’d tried different part-time-jobs, naging tutor ako ng mga 4-9 years old kids na anak ng mga kaibigan ko o kakilala ko, naging chef sa canteen, nag special offer ng kung anu-anong promo products, naging cosplayer, tumanggap ng mga typing job para sa mga istudyanteng hindi biniyayaan ng kasipagan, nag trabaho sa factory ng mga harness ng sasakyan, naging sales lady sa mall, at ngayon eto, ang pagiging food handlers. Siguro yung iba bumaba ang tingin sakin dahil hindi ako katulad ng iniisip nila na anak mayaman, but I don’t care! I’m not born that way because I’m born to be me. I’m not born to rely on my parents wealth but I’m born to create my own faith.

Thankful ako kay God dahil lagi niya akong tinutulungan, dinadala niya ako kung saan ako mas mag go-grow at kung saan ako magiging kumportable. Kasama ang mga kaibigan ko, si Krystal,Emarie, Rucelyn at kuya Edward, mas lalo namin pagbubutihin ang pagtatrabaho sa DSV Catering para mas makilala pa ito at lumago. This is the only way we know to repay our debt of gratitude to sir Dante for trusting us and giving us an opportunity to be a part of his business.

 Keith studied in Colegio De Porta Vaga in Patindig Araw, Imus Cavite and she took Hotel and Restaurant Management. She received 5 medals during her graduation.
